Zimbabwe becomes a Member State of the BIE

Zimbabwe has joined the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), becoming the 170th Member State of the Organisation.

In accordance with Article 35 of the 1928 Paris Convention relating to International Exhibitions, the Government of Zimbabwe submitted the instruments for accession to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 5 July 2021. France, as the depository for the Convention notified the Secretariat of the BIE that Zimbabwe has adhered to the Convention. Zimbabwe is therefore the 170th Member State of the Organisation, effective as of 5 July.

Zimbabwe participates regularly in World and Specialised Expos, and is participating in World Expo 2020 Dubai with a pavilion located in the Opportunity District and themed “The Land of Great People”.
